The 2011 Nortels Captain's day took place at Enfield Golf Course on Monday 20th June 2011.

This rather special golf club and course was founded in 1893, and was one of the first 500 clubs to be established in the UK. It was a super-value quality golf day, with perfect weather for golf, that was enjoyed by fourteen members and two very welcome guests - Simon and Geoff - of the NORTELs society.
The day started with coffee and bacon rolls at 8:00am, followed by 12 hole - three-ball stroke-play - Texas scramble. This took us to 12:00pm when we sampled the delights of a not so "light" but very tasty lunch of ham egg and chips... The 18 hole Captains Jug Stableford competition, commenced at 1:00pm and we were all promptly back to the clubhouse in time for a two course sumptuous dinner at 6:00pm followed by a raffle and prizes giving.
Everyone had a really good time and special thanks go to Steve for arranging the event, to Malcolm (a member at Enfield) who managed to get such a great price and to the club for their hospitality and excellent service.
And so to the results the captain's fun competition 12 hole Texas Scramble...
