Seventeen people turned up to play on the day including three guests: J Barber, G Saunders and A Jones.
Contrary to 2010 there were no hold-ups on the M25 this year and everyone arrived in good time for coffee and bacon roles before heading off to the first tee for a 10:00am start..... very civilised!
The weather in the morning looked promising but started off with a strong cool breeze making the first tee shot quite a challenge.
The weather conditions improved throughout the day and apart from a very strong wind - that made the course quite a challenge for all and tiring for most - it was so much better than last year. The course was in excellent condition too and everyone enjoyed their round. Returning to the club house, however was a welcome relief with the hot showers and a tasty meal beckoning.
The General Manager offered us a booby prize too of a sleeve of Top Flight balls for the player that had lost the most balls on the day - a nice gesture.

- Singles and Doubles Competitions - the singles are to continue this year, however because of the numbers playing Dickie proposed to change the doubles to form a league rather than a knock out entries for this to be advised by Dickie in due course.
- AOB - membership is falling and the committee asks the membership to help increase membership through encouraging friends to come along and join the society.
Tony advised the meeting that his charity will be The British Heart Foundation. He proposed to continue with an eclectic competition throughout the year based upon the best points score for each hole for every Nortels Stableford competition throughout the year, but modified slightly to give the lower handicappers a chance of winning. The charge would be £2 per event entry or £10 for the year as previously paid before the competition starts.
