Bentley golf course was the venue for the Nortel’s Presidents Cup held on the 10th August 09.Nineteen members and one guest attended the event. Bentley GC is just north of Brentwood and was in exceedingly good condition on the day of play. The course was a delight to play and was certainly a challenge. All who attended thought highly of the club, course and catering and so is another firm contender for next year.
Results
The winner of the President’s Cup was Steve Bartha with 36 points who unfortunately had to dash off early so was presented with the winners customary bottle of wine in the car park by Alban, and Graham accepted the Cup on Steve's behalf.
The runner up with 35 points after count back was Dickie and third place, Chris Brown.
Nearest the pin was Ken; however, no one was on the green in two so that prize was not claimed.
Ollie took the guest prize.

The next venue is Chigwell Golf Course on Thursday the 10th September – this is a superb venue well worth a visit. We will be competing for the Nortels Golf Society Wheatley Bowl & Rabbits Cup.
