CAPTAINS DAY – TOOT HILL GC – 2ND JULY 2013
Although there was a low turnout for this 30 hole event, there was some fun competitions for the participants. The weather was typical of a normal English summer, with the start delayed by rain, thunder and lightning and the day ending with everyone sitting outside the clubhouse enjoying the warm evening sunshine. The Captains Jug was won by Vic Clark with 33 points and Keith Allen came in second.
OVERNIGHT EVENT – STAVERTON PARK GC – 18TH/19TH AUGUST 2013

Chris Brown winner day 2
Staverton 16, the finest body of men seen on a golf course.
CLARK TROPHY – ENFIELD GC – 2ND SEPTEMBER 2013
The trophy for this event has great significance for some of the longer serving members of the society. It carries the name of our former Chairman and President, Ted Clark, sadly no longer with us.
There were 14 players on the day with our current President Laurie Ockelford winning the trophy
Clark Trophy winner Laurie Ockelford above and runner up Tony Farenden.
Note Steve Read thinks it should be him.
CHRITMAS FROLIC – DYRHAM PARK – 6TH DECEMBER 2013
Our last outing of the year saw 22 people turn up for a prize filled event followed by a Christmas meal. Everyone took home a prizes but the person who came in first, and so got to choose his prize first was Kevin Franklin.
At the end of the event the ‘Green Jacket’ was presented to Steve Gollop who was named Player of the Year.
Kevin Franklin who came in with the best score on the day takes home the cider, and Vic Clark presents Steve Gollop with the Player of the Year trophy and the Green Jacket.
A full Christmas meal was enjoyed by all, some of whom wore half moustaches in response to the Captain playing his round with only half a moustache. All good fun and money raised for charity.
